Caredermis is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no logins, no advertising, no cookies, and no cross-site tracking. This page explains exactly what happens with the little information involved.
What we don't collect
We don't ask you to register, and we don't collect your name, email, or any account information — there are no accounts. We don't run advertising or social-media tracking scripts, and we don't set cookies. The only measurement we use is privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics, described below.
Aggregate analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. It is cookieless and does not use your IP address or any device identifier to build a profile of you or track you across other websites. It records aggregate, anonymous page-view and performance data only — enough to know a page is popular, never who you are.
Skin profiles stay in your browser
The optional skin-profile chips (sensitive, oily & acne-prone, dry, pregnancy, babies, eczema) are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not sent to us or stored on our servers. When you open a report, your selected profiles are included in the page address (for example ?p=baby,eczema) so the report can be tailored and shared — they are used to render that page and not retained. You can clear them any time by removing the chips or clearing your browser storage.
Searches and product lookups
When you search for a product, your query is checked against our own catalog. If it isn't found, the query may be sent to Open Beauty Facts, a third-party open database, to look up the product. Their handling of that request is governed by their own privacy policy. Pasted ingredient lists are analyzed and are not stored.
Server logs
Our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in server logs for security and reliability, as is normal for any website. We do not use this information to identify you.
Your choices
Because we store nothing about you on our servers, there is no account to delete. To remove the only data we hold — your skin profiles — clear your browser's site data for caredermis.com.
Children
Caredermis provides general information about cosmetic ingredients and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
